A story of loss, compassion and lasting hope.
Ryvanz-Mia Childcare began in Kpando in 2006 and grew from a small act of care into a local mission connecting protection, education, family relationships and opportunity.

Where It All Began
Compassion became a place of safety.
Ryvanz-Mia Childcare began when founder Madam Esime Djentuh, known as Mama Esi, chose to turn personal loss into practical care for vulnerable children in Kpando, Ghana.
In 2006, she welcomed George and Mawuli into her own home. What started with two children gradually became a wider organization that served over 23 orphaned children through care, education, nutrition, mentoring and community programs.
Why “Ryvanz-Mia”?The name honors Ryvanz, the founder’s daughter, and Mia, one of the early international volunteers whose compassion became part of the organization’s early journey.

Care expands beyond shelter
Education, nutrition, healthcare, mentoring and youth development become part of the wider mission.
Hope Memorial School
A pre-school environment is established to support early learning, daily meals and a stronger educational beginning.
Supported reintegration
21/23 children have been safely reunited with extended family members through supported reintegration.
Children grow into adulthood
Twenty-three children have received sustained care, education, mentoring and support as they moved toward greater independence.

The vision continues toward a purpose-built community for family-centered care, learning, health, skills and sustainability.
