Will I receive updates?

Appropriate updates may be shared while protecting each child’s privacy, dignity, location and safety.

Can I contact a sponsored child privately?

No. Communication and any exchange of personal information should remain within the organization’s safeguarding process.

Can I volunteer remotely?

Remote opportunities may include writing, design, technology, research, fundraising, communications and administrative support depending on current needs.

Can I volunteer onsite in Ghana?

Onsite opportunities may be available depending on program needs, timing, safeguarding requirements and suitability for the role.

Do I need professional qualifications?

Not for every role. Some assignments need specialist experience while others need reliability, organization, creativity or a willingness to learn.

Who pays for international travel?

Volunteers generally arrange and pay for their own travel, passport, visa, insurance, accommodation, meals and personal expenses unless otherwise agreed in writing.
