Tribute to the late Mr. Edward Edzeani from the staff and children.

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any pain: for the former things are passed away.” – Revelation 21:4

It is with deep sadness that we are gathered here today to pay our last respects to our dear father and colleague Edward, aka Mr. Kudjo. Our hearts were broken when we heard of his passing. We have lost a genuinely warm individual and, more importantly, a friend, uncle, and father of vulnerable children at Ryvanz-Mia Childcare, as well as a friend of so many others, including ourselves.

In addition to founding the organization, Edward Edzeani, aka Kudjo, was the volunteer coordinator responsible for picking up volunteers from the airport. His service to our organization dates back to its inception. Children were his passion, and he enjoyed showing volunteers the Volta Region and other tourist attractions.

Edward believed strongly in the power of charity and volunteer work and was committed to helping us transform the lives of orphans and vulnerable children under our care. Besides helping us with administration, he pays tuition fees on our behalf and attends to our children’s urgent needs.

Our children and volunteers always appreciated his frequent visits to ensure they were happy and satisfied, and he was always on the ground to prevent any problems. Also, he organized volunteer placements at schools within the municipality and made all the arrangements before volunteers arrived.

His character was lovable, enduring, and a very cooperative, helpful, and dedicated pastor. We were delighted to have Edward as part of our Ryvanz-Mia Childcare team, as he was dedicated and highly motivated.

As a well-versed teacher, he helped us establish a preschool under Ryvanz-Mia Childcare called Hope Memorial School.

While mourning the loss of a colleague and a founding member, we honor and celebrate a well-lived life. The legacy you left behind of such dedication and accomplishment will live on at RMC forever.

All we knew was that you were ill, hospitalized, treated, and discharged, and we had no idea that your death was so near. With a seemingly contradictory report on your health conditions, it wasn’t easy to accept your return to the sickbed. Your presence with us was so authentic and precise we cannot believe the news of your demise. Aside from that, the reality at hand today proves that you are departed forever!

Why, Mr. Kudzo, why did you leave so suddenly and in such a painful manner? At this time, we need your wisdom and years of experience more than ever.

Sadly, Mr. Kudzo has closed the door to his life and left us. This sad moment is filled with deep, personal grief beyond description.

The pain of losing a brother who was a wall to lean on can only be understood by those close by. God knows that you don’t deserve the pain you would have faced if you had stayed.

We recognize that we could discuss many more things, but it’s too late, Mr. Kudzo, as your diligent work with us will remain our guide. Our love for you cannot be greater than our desire to leave you with blessings.
