Visa and passport information for traveling to Ghana

If you are planning to visit Ghana to volunteer or partner with Ryvanz-Mia Childcare, the information below will help you prepare. Requirements may change, so always confirm with your local embassy before travel.

Passport requirements

Valid passport for travel to Ghana

All visitors to Ghana must have a valid passport. Make sure your passport meets the requirements below before making travel plans.

  • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date
  • At least one to two blank pages for entry stamps
  • Passport should be in good physical condition

If your passport is expiring soon, renew it before applying for a Ghana visa.

Visa requirements

Most travelers require a visa to enter Ghana. Visa rules depend on your nationality.
