The community where our childcare mission began
Located in the Volta Region of Ghana, Kpando is a vibrant town centrally positioned near the eastern border with Togo and west of Lake Volta. It is approximately a 3 to 4-hour drive from Accra (the capital) via the east corridor. Community context
Why support is needed in Kpando
Like many communities, Kpando has children who face food insecurity, limited access to school materials, and unstable care environments. These challenges can interrupt education and affect a child’s long-term wellbeing if not addressed early.
Food & nutrition needs
Some children rely on school or community meals for daily nourishment.
Education challenges
School supplies and learning resources are not always available to every child.
Need for safe care
Consistent childcare and mentorship help children grow with confidence.
