The Inspiring Story of Our Founder

Regina E. Djentuh, affectionately known as Mama Esi, is a pillar of strength, love, and compassion in her community. As the founder of Ryvanz-Mia Childcare-Ghana (RMC-GHANA), her journey is one of resilience, faith, and a deep commitment to caring for vulnerable children.

Her inspiration to establish Ryvanz-Mia Childcare was born out of a personal tragedy—the heartbreaking loss of two beloved family members. Instead of allowing grief to overcome her, she turned her pain into purpose, dedicating her life to providing a safe and nurturing home for orphans and vulnerable children in Kpando, Ghana.

A Vision Rooted in Faith & Service

Mama Esi’s devotion to her Christian faith has been a driving force in her mission. She played a key role in establishing the St. Patrick Anglican Church Sunday School in Kpando, recognizing the importance of spiritual guidance in shaping the lives of young children. Through her faith-driven initiatives, she has created a loving and supportive environment where children can grow with strong moral values, education, and care.

Her tireless efforts through Ryvanz-Mia Childcare have transformed countless lives, offering children the hope, love, and opportunities they deserve.

A Lasting Legacy of Love and Impact

Mama Esi’s story is a testament to the power of kindness and determination. Her unwavering dedication to children’s welfare, education, and empowerment has created a lasting impact on families and communities in Ghana.

Her vision continues through Ryvanz-Mia Charity, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the U.S., which supports the work of Ryvanz-Mia Childcare in Ghana. Through this initiative, people worldwide can contribute to sustaining her mission and making a difference in the lives of children in need. Join us in honoring Mama Esi’s legacy. Career & Education

Born and raised in Kpando, Volta Region, Ghana, Mama Esi grew up in a small, diverse community, where she learned sewing and baking from her parents. Despite facing financial challenges, she completed her primary education and part of secondary school before circumstances forced her to drop out. However, her determination never wavered.

Driven by a passion for empowering young women, she founded the Esime Vocational Institute in Kpando, offering affordable and free vocational training to those in need. Her dedication caught the attention of Canadian volunteer Peta Hall, whose support led to the creation of the Dzidefo Women Cooperative, further expanding opportunities for underprivileged women.

Mama Esi’s unwavering commitment to education and skill development continues to uplift young women, providing them with the tools to build a brighter future.
